Private coaching for senior leaders

Leading with Clarity

Two pathways · two commitments · one-to-one

Most senior leaders do not lack ideas, drive or capability. What they lack, at the moments that matter, is clarity. This is the work that restores it — and makes it last.

It begins with what you bring — the decision in front of you, the team that will not align, the growth that has outrun your grip. It is not generic coaching, because it does not stop at the presenting issue. It works one layer beneath: at the pattern in how you lead that keeps producing the problem. That is the difference, and it is most of the value.

Two pathways

One programme, delivered along two pathways. The pathway is a matter of emphasis, not a different programme — the work is one-to-one and shapes itself to you.

  • Founders & Owners. For those who built the thing they now lead. The work turns on ownership: the identity fused with the business, growing something that no longer depends on you in the room, and — when the time comes — succession, handover and legacy.
  • Senior Leaders. For those leading with authority they were granted rather than own. The work turns on mandate: leading clearly when the remit is not fully yours, translating strategy into execution, and sustaining yourself across a demanding role.

The four phases

Both pathways move through the same four phases, in order, with the emphasis set by who you are.

  • Self as Leader. Clarity about your values, your strengths, and the blind spots that cost you under pressure.
  • Leading the Business. Translating that clarity into strategy and decisions you can actually execute.
  • Leading Others. Delegation, accountability, and building a team that carries the load rather than returning it to you.
  • Leading for the Long Term. Sustaining energy and judgement, and designing the contribution — or the legacy — you want to leave.

A personal Leadership Roadmap runs through all four, revised as you go, so that insight becomes something you do rather than something you discussed.

Choosing the length

The twelve-month engagement is not simply more of the same at twice the price. Six months is enough to see the pattern clearly and build the practice. Twelve is what it takes to hold that practice under conditions you did not stage — a real quarter, a real conflict, a real decision — and make the change stick. If your situation has a date attached, take the six months. If you want the change to outlast the engagement, take the twelve.

On funding

Most clients fund this privately. Some are sponsored by their organisation, which is equally fine and changes nothing about how the work is done. Whoever pays, the work stays one-to-one and confidential: the organisation settles an invoice, but it does not receive a report, sit in the room, or shape the agenda.

A fit call, not a sales call

Thirty minutes. We establish what you are actually working on, and whether this is the right work for it. If it is not, I will say so and point you elsewhere.
